Our Dodge City Cabin #5 is comfortable and conveniently located, with all of the amenities you need for a perfect stay, including Direct TV. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the red rocks of the Frying Pan River, or you can make the 1 minute walk across the street to enjoy some time on the river. Our guests also gain access to fish our private 3/4 mile of the famous Frying Pan River. The cabin has one queen size bed in the bedroom and one sofa bed in the living room, and is great for solo adventurers, couples looking for a romantic get-a-way, or small families. If you are traveling with friends or family members, there are two other cabins in the row at Dodge City that are available for rent as well.
Because of our convenient location to downtown Basalt, there is occasional road noise during the day from Frying Pan Road, which runs in front of the cabin.
*We do NOT have Wifi*. Guests love waking up to the sounds of the river, and they also enjoy the views. We do have cell phone reception at the cabins because we aren't too far from town (Verizon works the best). Unfortunately, there is no internet, but it is a good excuse to disconnect and enjoy the scenery.
The Frying Pan River is catch and release. Only fly fishing is permitted on the Frying Pan. Spinner rods and live bait are illegal, as it is bad for the trout.
