Casita la Puesta del Sol (Little house of Sunsets) is an open, spacious, and stylishly furnished, one-bedroom apartment with stunning sunset and mountain views! It’s comfortably furnished for 2-4 people. The Casita is attached to the back of our home but it has its own private entrance with gated-deck and private parking. We may cross paths during your stay but respect your privacy. We maintain a quiet, country lifestyle (as best we can with two children). No parties permitted. Whether you're coming to our sweet community for bird-watching, hiking, biking, hunting, wine-tasting, or just to get away, we know you'll enjoy Casita la Puesta del Sol!
Our property is 2+ acres with stunning rural, mountain views. The casita is elevated from ground-level and has 6 stairs to climb to reach the entrance. We have two dogs that are kept inside a fence from the main house. We also have some friendly, free-range chickens and two friendly, outdoor cats that roam the property.
Our home is about 7 minutes from the crossroads (intersection of highways 82/83) in Sonoita where there are several restaurants, a couple of coffee shops, an ice cream shop, a market, gas station, bank and post office. We are only about 45 minutes from two of southern Arizona's beautiful lakes (Parker Canyon Lake & Patagonia Lake). Sonoita/ Elgin communities are home to some our State's best wineries and breweries. Sonoita is about an hour from Tucson airport and all of the big-city amenities. Other nearby day-trip destinations include Coronado National Forest, Las Cienegas National Conservation Area, Kartchner Caverns, Tombstone, Bisbee, and Nogales, Mexico. With plenty to do nearby, you can either spend the day touring around or just nestling up in the cozy casita!
